Palm Springs, CA, USA — Fusion Art is pleased to announce the opening of its June 2016 International Online Juried Art Exhibition, “Light & Shadow.”

Opening on June 1st, the “Light & Shadow” exhibition features awards in two categories: Traditional Art and Digital Art & Photography. The Light & Shadow Best in Show winners are Catherine Palmer for her oil on canvas, “Grove and Masonic,” and Richard Greene for his photograph, “Sunset Blvd.”

Both Catherine and Richard are Fusion Art’s Featured Artists for the month of June 2016 and, as the Best in Show winners, both artists are also invited to participate in Fusion Art’s Annual Group Show in Palm Springs, CA, in November 2016.

Other “Light & Shadow” award winners include Second Place winners, Holly Siniscal for her colored pencil drawing, “Andromeda” and Jim Kerns for his photograph, “Last Night’s Dinner.” Third Place awards were given to Bonnie Lambert for her oil on canvas, “Counterpoint” and Ozzie Nogg for her digital photograph, “Shy Cowboy.”

The international juried competition was held from April 16th through May 25th and received entries from artists all around the world including the US, Canada, England, India, Australia, Brazil, and the United Arab Emirates. The exhibition will be featured on the Fusion Art website until June 30, 2016.

In honor of the United States’ Independence Day holiday during the month of July, Fusion Art is celebrating the colors Red, White & Blue. For this competition artists and photographers are encouraged to share their artistic vision using the colors Red, White & Blue. The artwork does not have to be patriotic in nature. It can include one or two or all of the colors and can be any theme or subject matter in any of the acceptable mediums. The artwork can range from realism to surrealism to abstraction.

The competition is open to artists worldwide and all artists, regardless of location or experience level, are encouraged to participate. Cash prizes will be awarded in two categories – “Traditional” Art and “Digital Art & Photography” and the Best in Show winners receive an invitation to participate in Fusion Art’s group exhibition in Palm Springs, CA in November 2016. The deadline to apply is June 25, 2016.

Each month Fusion Art hosts uniquely themed art competitions and exhibitions. Opening on May 1st, the “Leaves & Petals” exhibition features awards in two categories: Traditional Art and Digital Art & Photography. The Best in Show winners include Elizabeth Burin for her watercolor, “Magnolia Spotlight,” and Margaret King for her digital art, “Red Lily.”

Both Elizabeth and Margaret are Fusion Art’s Featured Artists for the month of May 2016 and, as the Best in Show winners, both artists are also invited to participate in Fusion Art’s Annual Group Show in Palm Springs, CA, in November 2016.

Other “Leaves & Petals” award winners include Second Place winners, Sara Bardin for her acrylic on canvas, “Red Velvet” and Jean Burnett for her digital art from photography on canvas, “Sleeping Beauty.” Third Place awards were given to Aisha Ismail for her watercolor, “The Forest Bed” and Youri Chasov for his digital painting on paper, “Mount5.”

The international juried competition was held from March 6th through April 24th and received entries from artists in over a dozen countries including the US, Canada, England, India, Australia, Pakistan, France, Russia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. The artwork should focus on the dramatic placement and effects of light and shadow over the canvas or through the lens. Whether color or black and white, the light and shadow in the artwork should emphasize the subject matter by giving definition and dimension thus enhancing the vivid placement of lights and darks. The competition will accept any subject matter in any of the acceptable mediums and the artwork can range from realism to surrealism to abstraction.

Palm Springs, CA, USA (March 1, 2016) — Fusion Art is pleased to announce the opening of its March 2016 International Online Juried Art Exhibition, “Figures & Faces.”

Figures and Faces

Opening on March 1st, the “Figures & Faces” exhibition features awards in two categories: Traditional Art and Photography & Digital Art. The Best in Show winners include Joshua Langley for his oil on canvas, “Little Scamps”, and Bin Feng for his archival pigment print, “The American Dream – The Male Gaze.”

Both Joshua and Bin are Fusion Art’s Featured Artists for the month of March 2016 and, as the Best in Show winners, both artists are also invited to participate in Fusion Art’s Annual Group Show in Palm Springs, CA, in November 2016.

Other “Figures & Faces” award winners include Second Place winners, Debi Pickler, for her pencil drawing, “Character” and Ron Testa, for his digital photograph, “Ziggy’s Lady.” Third Place awards were given to Cindy Shames for her, colored pencil and pan pastel, “Microphone” and Molly Phalen for her, silver gelatin print, “The Guardian.”
