Go Quantum Today in Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Abu Dhabi, Stockholm, London, Singapore, HK and Mexico City

The Quantum Computing Workshop for Today’s Strategic Leaders will help CEOs from chemical manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies to oil and gas conglomerates, from aerospace and defense to financial services firms to put Quantum Computing in the works in Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Abu Dhabi, Stockholm, London, Singapore, Hong Kong and Mexico City.

New York City, NY, USA — Today’s computing machinery, which has brought incredible technological innovations over the past decades, still relies on calculations with 1s and 0s, even if the devices are orders of magnitude smaller than the stadium-sized systems of the previous century. Quantum Computing (QC), computing technology’s next generation, holds the promise of new machines operating at one million times the speed of current computers, allowing scientists, for example, to model complex molecular interactions at an atomic level.

QC replaces today’s Boolean logic with quantum law at the algorithmic level. For optimization, sampling or search problems, this promises dramatic speedups. QC will enable solving a set of problems that couldn’t be solved before or could take forever on a classical super computer.

QC’s benefits include efficiently simulating much larger molecules, effectively minimizing the overhead to run complex logistical operations and dramatically reducing the time for advanced portfolio construction optimization, among many others applications.

Furthermore, in the same way that combustion engines and microprocessors once redefined entire industries, QC heralds today the advent of as yet unimagined realms, while also opening new radical avenues for existing industries, such as finance, pharma, oil and gas, and even the acceleration of artificial intelligence.

The Quantum Computing Workshop for Today’s Strategic Leaders (http://www.gldnacademy.com/quantum-computing-microprocessor-qubit-cryptography-superposition-entanglement-programming-artificial-intelligence-api.html) will show CEOs how to learn to harness the opportunities unveiled by Quantum Computing, how to identify challenges and how to prepare their organizations for what the future holds. Powerful quantum computers will model all 19,000+ proteins in the human genome and simulate how new drugs can cure everything from the common cold to cancer.

Cybersecurity Insights from Top Expert for CEOs in Malaysia, South Korea, UAE, Sweden, HK and Mexico

The Cybersecurity Workshop for Today’s Strategic Leaders will help CEOs gain a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity and its key aspects and discover how to establish or improve their cybersecurity programs in Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Abu Dhabi, Stockholm, Hong Kong and Mexico City.

New York City, NY, USA — Despite the ongoing cyber threat that is witnessed through news reports almost on a daily basis, firms are still neglecting proper cybersecurity planning. As information technology becomes ever more complex and Internet of Things applications progressively widespread, cybersecurity is becoming an increasingly important and business-critical field. Unfortunately, a recent study from security solutions provider Resilient Systems and market research firm Ponemon broke down key areas of continued failure for organizations.

The study found that 66% of IT and security professionals surveyed said their firms were unprepared to recover from a cyber attack, and 75% lacked a formal incident response plan. A key example of this unpreparedness is that fact that many of the companies impacted by the WannaCry ransomware attack had not installed patches in their Windows infrastructure that were released by Microsoft months before. Vulnerabilities in commercial software are common; the only solution is to stay abreast of manufacturer’s releases.

In order to help businesses in their cybersecurity planning, the Cybersecurity Framework released in February 2014 following a collaborative process involving industry, academia and government has been widely adopted by many types of organizations around the world, quickly becoming the de facto standard by which cyber security is going to be measured.

The Cybersecurity Workshop for Today’s Strategic Leaders (http://www.gldnacademy.com/the-cybersecurity-workshop-for-todays-strategic-leaders.html) will bring leaders up to speed on the most recent and battle-tested approaches to protect their companies’ valuable information and intellectual property from prying eyes of hackers and competitors. Attendees to the program will learn how to apply the Cybersecurity Framework in their organizations and erect strong defenses for their valuable customer and employee data and intellectual property.

Attendees to these 2-day workshops organized by GLDNAcademy.com (http://www.gldnacademy.com) in Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Abu Dhabi, Stockholm, Hong Kong and Mexico City will:

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity and its key aspects
• Get to grips with various cybersecurity testing methods

Jakarta Film Awards Celebrates Indonesian Cultural Park Anniversary

Jakarta, Indonesia — Jakarta Film Awards (JFA) just announced their lineups for this year. The international film festival held its Awards Ceremony at the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, the Indonesian Cultural Park, celebrating the 43rd anniversary of the National Park. The Awards Ceremony is a blast with red carpets, and crowds flooded packed the place. Kings and queens of Indonesia, many ambassadors, artists, filmmakers, and cultural society attended the big event.

This year, Jakarta Film Awards received 251 films from all around the world. Four films from different countries compete for the Best Film. Here are the nominees:

Give Me the Sun directed by Ban ZhongYi, a documentary about seven aging Chinese women whose bodies and minds were irrevocably scarred by the unspeakable brutality they suffered during World War II, when they were often gang-raped for months until their families could ransom them. Some were lured into sexual slavery by locals working for the Japanese Army, who promised them work in factories or hospitals; others were simply abducted and enslaved in the nearest comfort stations.

The American War, directed by an American veteran of the Iraq War, Dr. Daniel Bernardi, tells the story of the Vietnam War from the perspective of six Vietcong veterans: a soldier, an officer, an informant, a guerilla, a My Lai survivor and the leader of the Long Hair (all women) army. Using rarely seen North Vietnamese archival footage, animated illustrations and interviews set in homes, villages and prisons, The American War gives voice and character to Vietcong veterans.

The Eve directed by Luca Machnich is a short film that tells a story about a young boy who dreams to meet the Santa Claus. This semi-horror film is chosen because the complexity of the mixed color made every frame of this film beautiful yet creepy.

The Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) directed by Korean director Inchun Oh tells the story of the most dangerous zone in the world, which was established on July 27, 1953, when the Armistice Agreement was signed during the Korean War. This film stars Joo Min-ha who played as a female officer who tried to catch a jailbreaker in DMZ.

Michael directed by Satrajit Sen is a Bengali film that revolves around a person working man who dreams to be a film director.

Among the VVIP guests of the event are: the king and queen of Keraton Amarta Bumi, Sri Anglung Prabu Punta Djajanagara Cakrabumi Girinata and Kanjeng Ratu Dinar Retno Djenoli; King of Tallo, Makassar, Haji Andi Abdul Rauf Maro Daeng Marewa; Sultan and Queen of Indrapura Indra Oesman and Triliyanti; Prince of War of Indrapura, Ir. City of Paso Robles Reaches 1,000 Solar Home Installs

Last month, Paso Robles resident Dan Robinson applied for a solar energy permit. Little did he know that his application would be the 1,000th alternative energy permit filed in the city of Paso Robles.

Atascadero, CA, USA — Last month, Paso Robles resident Dan Robinson decided he wanted to save money and do the right thing when he called Solarponics and applied for a solar energy permit to install solar on his home. Little did he know that his application would be the 1,000th alternative energy permit filed in the city of Paso Robles. With Mr. Robinson’s solar install, Paso became the first city to reach 1,000 installs in San Luis Obispo county.

“These seven panels on my roof can do the same for me as a multi-billion dollar power plant… with no pollution,” says Mr. Robinson. “Solar makes so much sense on so many levels. It’s the right way to go.”

Solar energy first became popular in the late 1970’s when President Carter installed solar water heating panels on the White House. At the time, electric rates hovered around a low of 5¢/kWh. Solar electric and solar water heating systems were still quite a bit more expensive than ulitily-purchased energy.

Since the mid, California has seen a nearly 300% increase in the price of energy, currently averaging 19¢/kWh, while solar energy prices have dropped significantly, making solar electric far more affordable than grid-tied energy today.

Nationally, solar installs in the U.S. have grown from 1.2 gigawatts (GW) in 2008 to an estimated 34GW today. Paso Robles has gone from under 20kW of solar installs in 2008 to over 6 megawatts (MW) of residential solar today. This equates to more than $50 million in collective energy savings for Paso Robles homeowners over the next 20 years.

“Even with the recently imposed solar panel tariffs, solar energy continues to be a significant money-saver. The more energy rates increase, the more solar makes sense. And rates are always increasing.” says Kristian Emrich, Solarponics vice-president.

To celebrate the 1,000th residential solar energy install in Paso Robles, Solarponics is donating solar powered systems for electric golf carts to north county schools, and converting those electric golf carts to solar-power.

“Five years ago, we could not have imagined reaching this milestone…1,000 solar roofs in Paso… 10,000 county-wide. And now, here we are. Our vision is to see renewable energy systems on every single structure in the county. So, there’s a lot of work to do still,” says Mr. Emrich.

About Solarponics
Solarponics is the Central Coast’s go-to renewable energy installer, helping businesses and homeowners save money and achieve energy independence. Solarponics has installed over 5,000 energy systems throughout the county since 1975. The longest continuously owned and operated solar company in California, Solarponics is still privately owned and locally operated. Natasha Dematra, the youngest female director in the world, received Hero of Peace Prize Award from the Royal Palace of Blahbatuh in Bali.

Kuta, Bali, Indonesia — Natasha Dematra, the youngest female director in the world, received Hero of Peace Prize Award from the Royal Palace of Blahbatuh in Bali. The prestigious award was given because of her contribution to peace and humanity. Natasha said that she felt honored to receive it and hopes to keep promoting peace in the future.

The Crown Prince of Blahbatuh, Anak Agung Ngurah Kakarsana, saluted the young director and wished she would carry the honor with her life as she fights for peace and keep her productive.

The Royal Palace of Blahbatuh was founded in 1583. The ancient kingdom consists of a 4.5 hectares area and was built with the concept of Tri Mandala. The Crown Prince is the 25th generation leader of this Kingdom. The Palace is also famous for its original mask of Gajah Mada that is kept sacred and only issued for specific traditional ceremonies or rituals.
